Gavin McNicoll is the Founder and Director of Eden Intelligence, a specialist provider of small scale, high-impact policy events and special projects within the international security field. Having researched terrorism and intelligence for over 16 years, Mr. McNicoll has established a substantial body of research, conference and consulting work teamed with significant academic institutions like King’s College London, St Andrews, Cambridge, MIT and Georgetown, and has become well known to senior policy and corporate security circles in the United Kingdom and United States. His projects, including the landmark annual International Terrorism and Intelligence Conference (ITIC), are designed for and by a first class network of senior consultants, current and former senior government officials, and business leaders specializing in counterterrorism and other security related issues. Further projects have included running a G8 Plus conference on financial intelligence cooperation at the behest of the UK government with assistance from the Home Office, HM’s Treasury, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the National Criminal Intelligence Service and Scotland Yard. Mr. McNicoll is a member of Chatham House, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and sits on the advisory board of the British Intelligence Library, a recently formed charity dealing with a large legacy. He received a M.A. in International Relations and Philosophy from St Andrews University with honors in Intelligence, Terrorism, U.S. Foreign Policy and the Middle East, and remains an active member of the Advisory Board for Strategic Communications Laboratories, involved in the development and execution of their offering to the US government.
