Matt McNabb serves as Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Transnational Crisis Project, principally responsible for cellular design and management, creative strategic vision, global operations, and policy swarming. As an expert in transnational security, with a particular emphasis on instruments and analysis associated with the ‘Global Jihadi Movement’, strategic swarming and popular mobilization, and transnational criminal enterprise, he has conducted field research in Bosnia, Egypt, Lebanon, Israel, Spain, Italy, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Matt has also lectured widely within the United States and United Kingdom on key strategic indicators and modelling for radicalization, soft and hard power integration for counter-radicalization, irregular rendition, intelligence and mutual legal cooperation, and holistic counterterrorism strategy. Matt possesses undergraduate degrees in Political Philosophy and International Relations from Syracuse University, a graduate certificate in advanced security studies from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, a counterterrorism certificate from the International Policy Institute for Counterterrorism, and a masters from the Department of War Studies, King’s College London. He is currently working on a manuscript which provides a strategic three-dimensional model for transnational insurgent behaviour, network vulnerabilities, and recommendations for US national security policy.
