Cells

In order to focus the policy swarming process, Transnational Crisis Project possesses a small number of semi-independent cells. Acting as key nodes, cells employ full- and part-time staff to conduct research, develop policy, liaise with decision-makers, and stimulate the creativity of the network.

Cells exist in two types: research cells and location cells. Research cells focus and channel the effort of the network upon high priority topics, whether the analysis of geographically defined regions that function as estuaries, engines or bottlenecks for transnational threats, or the interrogation of principles and trends common across disparate threats. Location cells concentrate expertise in liaison with decision-makers and innovators in centres of development for policy, technology and academia. 

Together, CrisisProject's research and location cells serve to accelerate the policy swarming process, harnessing the flow of creative policy solutions to advance transnational security policy worldwide. CrisisProject currently possesses four cells:
